Construction of a wetlands park with educational elements including an overwater walkway, creation of new wetlands, amphitheater, native landscaping and irrigation and storm drain modifications. Throughout additional phases, improvements included security systems, fencing, decks, grading, contaminated/impacted soil removal, new roadway improvements, pedestrian safety enhancements, green streets drainage improvements, and lighting. A three-acre community park was completed in 2021 with areas for a community garden, passive recreation, children’s play, adult fitness and a biofiltration basin. Currently in construction is an expansion to include more pathway and a multi-use community gathering area with bicycle parking facility.
